Charles Ives 'A Set of Pieces'

This is our favourite Ives compilation, bringing together two a number of his chamber works. They are the perfect introduction to Ives' work if you haven't heard him before, and a wonderful edition if you are familiar.
Much less grand than his symphonic works, and less overtly dissonant than some of his piano works, this sits in the perfect middle ground beyond America folklore-ist and general Modernist weirdo.
